What is Microblading? Microblading is a tattooing technique in which a small handheld tool made of several tiny needles is used to add semi-permanent pigment to the skin. This technique is said to create the illusion of fuller brows.
What happens during my Microblading appointment? First the brows are cleaned then I measure and draw on the brows so you can see the shape that is custom to your bone structure and face. You can tell me if you want anything different about the shape. Once we get the shape how you like it (more natural or bolder) then I will numb you, color match you and finally microblade.
How long will my appointment take? The initial appointment time is about 1.5 hours. Half of the time is preparing for the microblading. The retouch appointment takes 45 minutes to 1 hour.
How long does it last? Microblading lasts 12-18 months depending on skin, aftercare and lifestyle. Oily skin will need more touch ups. Shading can help Microblading last longer.
Does it hurt? Microblading can be painful but I use several different numbing creams and the one I have now has worked so well that my clients can hardly feel it if at all! Brows will be tender to the touch for 2-3 days after.
Can I get them wet after? For best results, you cannot get your brows wet for 7 days after. No sweating, saunas, or immersing them in shower. Cover them with a washcloth in the shower or take a bath instead.
Will the pigment all hold? Microblading requires 2 sessions. The pigment will not all hold the first time which is normal. Color can sometimes disappear in spots and then reappear weeks later. Whatever doesn’t come back we will go over at the touch up.
What is Plasmalift? Plasmalift is a new revolutionary non-surgical life treatment which is highly effective. During the procedure, tiny plasma flash, also known as electrical are being discharged from the tip of the Plasmalift handpiece. The took itself never touches the skin, however, plasma flash creates a tiny dot upon contact. There is no cut or blood. This innovative technology uses sublimation pulses, turning solid directly to gas to shrink the skin. Targeted tissue sublimate, causing no damage to surrounding areas or deeper skin layers. Full results become visible after 2-8 weeks. You can resume regular activities right away with minimal discomfort.
Can I shower after Plasmalift? It is advised that you do not take a hot shower on the day of the treatment. Was the area the next day with a mild (alcohol free) soap.
Can I be in the sun after Plasmalift? Sun exposure should be avoided for 4 weeks after treatment. Sunblock of 50 SPF should be used daily for 2-3 months after treatment to prevent hyperpigmentation.
Does Plasmalift hurt? A topical anesthetic will be applied to the areas of treatment so there will be minimal discomfort. Immediately after treatment the area might feel swollen and hot much like a sunburn. Ice and Motrin will help alleviate any discomfort.
How long does Plasmalift last? Results should last for several years, however, it does not stop further aging. Effects can be noticeable immediately but the best results will be seen after 4 weeks. For some, a second or third additional treatment may be needed after 8 weeks for maximum results.
Is Plasmalift safe? Plasma Skin tightening has been shown to be a safe procedure in thousands of patients due to its non-invasive nature. However, as with most cosmetic procedures, patients are likely to experience some redness and swelling.
Can I wear makeup after the Plasma treatment? Do not use makeup after the treatment, as it is not sterile. Wait 5-6 days after the treatment and once the crusts fall off to begin using makeup.
